Accommodation for Courses at Liverpool Medical Institute
Courses at Liverpool Medical Institution
The Liverpool Medical Institution is on Mount Pleasant, a main road leading upwards and outwards from the city and less than a half mile from the bottom of the hill, which bottom (perversely) might be considered the heart of the city.

THE BRITANNIA ADELPHI HOTEL - 0151 709 7200
This is a splendidly looking relic from the past, the days when Liverpool was the start and finish of a Trans-Atlantic journey for the rich and famous. However, its indulgent opulence has surrendered to fiscal necessity and the hotel survives at a more mundane level of comfort and convenience than of old. This is reflected in the feedback from candidates who have stayed there. However, although expensive compared to some alternatives, on the whole, it is regarded as being "adequate" and of "reasonable value" with the advantage of "secure parking", which is perhaps important to a visitor to Liverpool.
There is also an in-house Sports Club & Swimming Pool available to residents.
Depending on the climate of the times, the Adelphi is often found to be prepared to enter into negotiation regarding the prices.
If you, your family or friends remember the TV series which featured the Adelphi and some of the more extraordinary members of its staff over a number of interesting and revealing weeks, it is worth staying there if only to tell the tale on return home.
It is about a ten minute uphill walk to get to the LMI but the five minute stroll down the hill at the end of a hard day at the course compensates for the morning exertion
