A Note on Group Work:
You should reconsider your application to this course if you are not willing to work efficiently and collaboratively within a group environment. This is not a course for individual revision or private study.
The MSA strongly believes that effective group work is a key contributor to the success of those attending our Courses. A lack of engagement from one individual can negatively impact the experience of others who are willing to fully participate.
Given the significant investment of both time and money in sitting the FRCA Exams, we ask that you are mindful of the impact your approach may have on others before applying.
Those who do not engage with their group or who wish to work independently will be asked to leave.
Important Note;
A common misunderstanding amongst the Anaesthetic Constituency is that you will be exposed to the RCA Bank of Questions on this Course.
We need to make it clear, before application, that we do not have RCA Questions and you must not come expecting to be exposed to RCA Questions.
The best we can do is expose you to Topics and Themes similar to those in the Exam so it engenders Group Discussion and Debate, and ensures you are gaining a sound & thorough understanding around a topic, to then help you make appropriate judgement in the Examination.

| Re-Attending this Course We do not think it is the best use of time or money to re-attend our Courses as much of the Material will be the same as you were exposed to previously. We would not want re-attending Candidates to leave feeling that they have not gained full benefit from their time and their money. Therefore, we do not advocate it. However, after prioritising those who have not had the opportunity to attend the course yet:- We do make exceptions for re-attending this Course, but you MUST let us know that you have attended before. Due to the Group Work aspect of the Course, we must organise you with others who also have attended before as to avoid upsetting any Group Dynamics. |
